About Coronavirus Symptoms
Coronavirus, or COVID-19, symptoms appear 2-14 days after exposure and include:
- Fever
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Chills
- Repeated shaking with chills
- Muscle pain
- Headache
- Sore throat
- New loss of taste or smell
If you or someone you care for is showing these symptoms, call your doctor’s office, schedule a virtual visit through MyChart, or call (412) NURSE-4-U (412) 687-7348 to discuss symptoms and next steps.
Your doctor will evaluate you based on your symptoms and determine the best course of treatment, which may or may not include a COVID-19 test. Learn more about getting tested for COVID-19.
When should I call Emergency?
If you’re showing the following symptoms*, call 911 — you may be having a medical emergency:
- Trouble breathing
- Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
- New confusion or inability to arouse
- Bluish lips or face
