History and Purpose

Forbes Hospital has offered training to pharmacy residents since 2017 as part of the ASHP-accredited Forbes and West Penn Hospitals multi-site residency, and was granted the 8 year “maximum” accreditation period on initial survey.  Beginning with the 2024 residency class, Forbes Hospital offers a single-site residency program and is registered in “candidate” status with ASHP.  An accreditation survey is anticipated in 2025. Candidates should feel confident that the program’s preceptors and administration have the experience and dedication to provide an exceptional learning experience.
