If you’re struggling with a complex mental illness or psychiatric disorder, you are not alone. The AHN Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute will help you take the next step with evidence-based treatment and behavioral health specialists.
In addition to in-person treatment centers and clinics across western Pennsylvania, we have online group therapy programs to make it easier and more convenient to get the help you need. We’ll even come to you with our Mindfulness at Work program and CHILL Project for schools.
Traumatic events, serious mental health concerns, and psychiatric disorders all require specialized treatments. We’ll help you start feeling more like yourself again with behavioral health services and psychiatric treatments at our specialized treatment centers and through our intensive outpatient programs.
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to behavioral health treatment. And sometimes, the treatments that work for most people don’t make a positive difference for you. Through our specialized treatment centers at the Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute, we can tailor our approach to target your specific concerns.
Our condition-specific treatment centers include:
Some patients with behavioral health conditions or psychiatric disorders may benefit from a higher level of care than weekly therapy appointments can provide. An IOP is a step above outpatient therapy and a step below inpatient behavioral health treatment. It’s often used to treat mood or anxiety disorders causing a significant level of impairment, safety and self-harm concerns, bipolar spectrum disorders, and trauma or stress-related disorders.
Group therapy sessions take place multiple days a week for several hours, and treatment takes between one and two months.
The Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute offers two intensive outpatient programs for adults and two for adolescents.
The Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute has programs that teach mindfulness techniques in workplaces and schools across western Pennsylvania.
Regularly practicing mindfulness can lead to lower levels of stress, lower blood pressure, better sleep, fewer digestive issues, and a decrease in chronic pain.
This school-based program uses mindfulness-based exercises to help students, teachers, and parents identify, discuss, and react positively to stress. The program provides dedicated professionals, a calming space, and regular instruction to help participants better handle pressure and anxiety.
