Application Information

A nontraditional fellowship in cardiothoracic imaging has been designed for qualified applicants at this Level I Trauma Center.

Applicants should:

  • Be enrolled in an ACGME-accredited residency program
  • Be eligible for an unrestricted license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Have passed the Core examination of the American Board of Radiology

The fellowship will provide training in all aspects of imaging as applicable to the cardiothoracic imaging, including:

  • Computed tomography (CT)
  • Thoracic MRI, MRA and cardiac MRI
  • Plain film
  • Perform and assist with CT guided thoracic procedures including biopsy, ablation, and chest tube insertion.

The fellow will have ample opportunity for elective rotations through other sections including Abdominal, Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology, PET/CT, General Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, Research, 3D Lab/Advanced post-processing, and high risk OB ultrasound. Because this is a nontraditional fellowship, the fellow will be expected to spend no greater than 20% of his/her time functioning as a junior attending.
