Each year, more than 1,300 newborns get their start in our spacious birthing center. Forbes is part of the Allegheny Health Network’s (AHN) Women's Health Program. AHN is western Pennsylvania’s fastest growing health system for labor and delivery.*

  • Family-centered birthing suites: Our birthing suites are equipped with all the technology you need for a safe and healthy delivery. Your recovery takes place in the same room where your baby and partner can also stay.
  • Personalized labor and delivery care: You'll see the same friendly faces throughout your stay at Forbes. After delivery, you may choose to work with our lactation consultants to help you and your baby get comfortable with breastfeeding.
  • Specialized care for fragile infants: The Level 2 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Forbes provides high-level medical care for newborns with medical needs. You and your baby remain on the same floor, which makes visitation easier.
