Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is a Pittsburgh-based healthcare system. Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) is the quaternary hospital for (AHN), which includes 13 additional hospitals, 14 multi-modality imaging centers, and 50 other Allegheny Clinic medical/surgical practices using imaging throughout Western Pennsylvania and Southwestern New York. AHN hospitals in Pennsylvania (PA) are accredited through The Joint Commission or National Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare (NIAHO) and all imaging facilities are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and are recognized as Diagnostic Imaging Centers of Excellence (DICOE) which represents the highest achievement for medical imaging facilities. Additionally hospitals are credentialed by the PA Department of Health or New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). Radioactive materials licenses and X-ray registrations are maintained through, and inspected by, the PA Department of Environmental Protection or NYSDOH. Mammography facilities are also certified by the FDA.
