Our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program is based at Allegheny General Hospital.
Oral and maxillofacial surgery, as defined by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, is the specialty of dentistry which includes the diagnosis, surgical and adjunctive treatment of diseases, injuries and defects involving both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions.
It is the goal of our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program to provide the best possible learning environment, resources, instruction and clinical exposure necessary for each resident to acquire the broad and solid knowledge base and well-developed clinical skills necessary to practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical specialty.
