Diagnostic Radiology Residency Wellness
Along with the sponsoring institution, the program knows that providing the most satisfying, supportive and healthy environment for our residents and fellows assures the best possible patient experience. We have implemented wellness education resources and programs to minimize burnout and strengthen morale.
- Spring Health offers 24/7 mental health support including 5 free, confidential counseling sessions. No diagnosis is reported. No employer notification. Additionally, we have an on-site licensed behavioral therapist available for personal or clinical consultation.
- Faculty and resident led Wellness Committee
- Monthly meetings with the Program Director and Associate Program Directors to discuss residency updates, experiences and concerns
- A dedicated mentorship program to provide residents with consistent, organized, and compassionate support directly from faculty
- Annual welcome tailgate and Pittsburgh Pirates game
- Team building and wellness events twice a year that now encompass several days/activities and includes a fundraising event that benefits a different local charity/cause each year
