Admission Requirements
Licensed Practical Nurse applicants who seek advanced standing in the RN Program should complete the following in addition to the above admission requirements:
- Current Pracitical Nursing license number for verification.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A minimum score of Level 2 on ATI Nursing Fundamentals Assessment.
- Full Time Program: Documentation of satisfactory completion of college-level Anatomy and Physiology 1 with laboratory component (C grade or better not older than five years).
- Part Time Program: Documentation of satisfactory completion of college-level Anatomy and Physiology 1 & 2 with laboratory component (C grade or better not older than five years).
- Download reference form and complete a professional references. The professional reference must be completed by a direct manager or supervisor if working, or an instructor/clinical instructor if the applicant is a student.
- Resume highlighting current professional nursing expierence.
- All LPNs who are will be required to complete Semesters II through V.
- Accepted LPNs will be required to attend an orientation prior to enrolling in Semester II.
*Courses greater than 5 years old may be considered for practicing LPNs

Admission Process
Step 1: Complete an application
Apply online for admission to the AHN Schools of Nursing.
- Complete all elements of the application.
Step 2: Register for and take the ATI Fundamentals of Nursing Assessment
The ATI Fundamentals of Nursing Assessment is required for applicants to the LPN to RN track.
This exam will be conducted online (remote testing) on the dates listed below.
Remote Test Dates:
- Monday, February 23, 2026 @ 9:00 AM
- Thursday, March 26, 2026 @ 9:00 AM
- Monday, April 26, 2026 @ 9:00 AM
To register, please email your selected test date to the Admissions Office at: CSONAdmissions@ahn.org.
Once your date is confirmed, registration instructions will be sent to you.

Step 3: Submit required transcripts/proof of eligibility to study at the post- secondary level
- Official copy of High School Transcript including required course work and date of graduation.
- In lieu of a High School diploma, an original copy of the GED certificate with test scores.
- Post-secondary education transcripts
- Official transcripts must be submitted for all prior post-secondary education completed. This includes any college, university, nursing, technical and/or vocational program.
