Application Information for ID-CCM Fellowship Program

Thank you for your interest in the Infectious Disease-Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Allegheny Health Network!

The ID-CCM Fellowship Program at Allegheny General Hospital participates in the Medical Specialties Matching Program (MSMP) for fellowship positions. All applicants to the program should complete the application process through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and register to participate in the Match through NRMP (NRMP program code 1648146F1).

Application materials

All applicants will be expected to complete the application process through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Candidates selected for interview will be notified by email correspondence.

The following documents are required in order for candidates to be considered for an interview:

  • ERAS Application
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Personal Statement
  • Recent Photograph
  • ECFMG Certificate (if applicable)
  • Green Card Status (if applicable)
  • USMLE Scores (M.D.'s): Steps 1 and 2; Step 3 (if available)
  • COMLEX Scores (D.O.'s): Levels 1, 2 and 3
  • Letters of Recommendation: 3, including letter from Program Director

All potential applicants must have completed a three-year internal medicine residency in an accredited United States or Canadian residency program and possess excellent skills in the English language.

Interview information

We will be utilizing a "virtual interview" process for all applicants to our program. Our application process and what to expect on the day of your interview, is outlined below:

  1. After you submit your ERAS application, our Program Coordinator will contact you by e-mail to inform if you have been selected for interview.
  2. An invitation e-mail will include the following information:
    • Virtual Interview Schedule
    • Zoom® Meeting ID and password
    • Information about the interviewers with whom you will meet
  3. All applicant interviews will be conducted on the video communication software platform, Zoom®. For those unfamiliar with this software, it can be utilized for free on any computer or mobile device with web browser and internet access. Please ensure that your computer device has a camera equipped so that your interviewers can see you.
