Quick guide
The fellow will be, at all times in that role, supervised by Drs. Matthew Hartman, Kamyar Ilkhanipour, Paul Klepchick, Jason Long, Anthony Lupetin, Rishi Maheshwary, Brendan Mullen, Cory Nordman, and Theodore Schroeder. All are board-certified, fellowship-trained abdominal imaging radiologists holding memberships to various professional societies.
Supervised duties will include image interpretation, performance of invasive procedures (biopsies, drainage/aspirations, and ablation), and resident and student teaching. All imaging studies to be reported and all reports of those imaging studies and procedures will be reviewed by one of the supervising staff. All procedures will be performed under direct supervision of the attending staff. In addition, the fellow will be encouraged to develop and execute a research project on a subject of his/her interest. The goal will be to not only become involved in scholarly pursuits, but also to prepare a paper for presentation and/or publication in the peer-review literature.
During non-fellowship when working as junior attending, studies performed and interpreted by the fellow will not be reviewed by the faculty, since the fellow will be a board-eligible, licensed practitioner. Attending faculty in all divisions are always available for consult and help.
Multiple multidisciplinary conferences on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis for participation and education exist including: Tumor board, gastrointestinal, liver/transplant, pancreatic, gynecological oncology, genitourinary, endocrine, and inflammatory bowel disease.
